History of the Estonian Flag

Officially, it became the national flag by a decision of the Estonian Provisional Government on November 21, 1918, and the parliament later reaffirmed the flag’s official status by a law in 1922. It was used as the national flag until the Soviet Red Army’s occupation of Estonia in June 1940.
