Mozambique Flag History

The national flag of Mozambique has an unusual history. This is true for many countries of the African continent. South Africa has been home to many different tribes throughout its history. The Mozambique region is just one of these tribes. The region was occupied by the Bantum People for approximately the 4th century. For this reason, the people of Mozambique have been under the rule of different peoples for a long time. In this direction, apart from the tribal weight in the region, rapid growth has been achieved in different fields such as agriculture and economy. The tribes in question continued to live under a single roof in the region for an average of the 9th century. In the following periods, the Mozambique region remained mostly under western colonialism. For this reason, the flag gained official meaning after long periods. First, in 1947, Portugal, which was also among the colonial states of the period, established its dominance in this region. Mozambique gained its independence legally on June 25, 1975.

Mozambique Flag Meaning

The official flag of Mozambique, which is also the national flag of the East African country, is divided by small white stripes. Based on this detail, the flag is composed of 3 different shades of green, red and black. On the left side there is a triangle symbol in red with a yellow star symbol and a book, a hunting weapon symbol and a part of the national shield consisting of an anchor. The green hue symbolizes the country’s vegetation. Yellow symbolizes the country’s rich underground resources, white symbolizes peace and red symbolizes the country’s opposition to colonialism.

Mozambique Flag Dimensions

We design your Mozambique flag as 15×22.5 cm and 8×32 cm as table top, and 100×150 and 150×225 cm as pennant and flag. We carry out our flag measurements in a modern area. Our multiple staff are actively involved in these processes. For this reason, we complete the measurements of the flag earlier than the specified time period.

Mozambique Flag Uses

Since Mozambique is an African country, we can emphasize that apart from official ceremonies, local demonstrations are also predominant throughout the country. For this reason, the country flag is also preferred by the public during demonstrations on certain days of the year. However, the Mozambique country flag is also used in military zones, state official ceremonies and official meetings. Mozambique is among the countries preferred by commercial companies from all over the world. For this reason, the Mozambique national flag is used as a desk in companies in many different regions of the country.
