Between 1910 and 1928, a flag with a red base color was available, with the American flag in the upper left corner and a coat of arms on the right side. Between 1928 and 1994, it has a color with an orange upper horizontal line, white middle bed line and blue lower horizontal line. In the middle, there were mini flags symbolizing different countries. However, after gaining independence from this date, the Republic of South Africa began to use its own flag freely. The flag does not have any coat of arms and has striped colours.
